IP PROTECTION

                                        IP (first digit) (second digit).

The first digit defines the protection against solid objects.

0  No protection. (No protection).

1  Protected against solid objects greater than 50mm.

2  Protected against solid objects greater than 12mm.

3  Protection against solid objects greater than 2,5 mm

4  Protection against solid objects greater than 1,0 mm

5  Protection against dust. (Not prevent the entry of dust but not entering in large quantities).

6  Impervious to dust.

The second digit defines the protection against liquids.

0  No protection. (No protection).

1  Protection against drops of water.

2  Protection against water drops at an angle of 15°.

3  Protection against water sprayed at an angle of 60°.

4  Protected against splashing water.

5  Protection against water sprayed from hose from any direction.

6  Protected against splashing water with force.

7  Protection against immersion in water. (Under pressure and time).

8  Protection from diving into water. (Under conditions specified by the manufacturer).
